Laying Wreaths Across America

Yesterday we had the honor to volunteer at Arlington National Cemetery to help lay wreaths on all the soldiers’ graves. There were more than 241,000 wreaths laid yesterday by tons of volunteers. They replicate this at many national cemeteries across the country. Over the USA, more than 900,000 wreaths were laid, which is amazing. We were told, before laying your wreath, to read the name of the individual out loud, so you can think about what they did for us and our freedom. We were able to lay about 4 wreaths each. But before the wreath laying, we got to watch the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was a GORGEOUS day, and the sun was perfect:) Here are some photos from our day at Arlington Cemetery.
